About the event
Have you ever had a dog destroy something in your home when you have
been out? It can be infuriating, even catastrophic at times. Did you
know that dogs only ever do this when they are deeply distressed and
suffering from emotional and physiological distress that vets liken to
the grieving process?
Separation Issues can be so serious that they need veterinary medical
intervention and if left without a Behaviour Programme and Medication
can result in prolonged depression in dogs. The neurons in the brain
become damaged when under stress and this can only be rectified by
working with a Behaviour Consultant/Therapist as well as seeing your
vet.
The dogs are completely blameless in this and they really need our
help and understanding. To understand them from a scientific and
behavioural insight removes a world of frustration. It is important
that we understand as much as we can about our dogs. They ask very
little of us in return for their companionship.
